In our data-driven world, it is important for teachers to know how to use this information to benefit students. Assessments should be formative as well as summative, and the data gleaned from them should inform instruction. When I give my students an assessment it is to see where I, the teacher, need to lean the lessons to best support my students' learning. Below are the results of my current year teaching. Although each child worked on his/her own path of discovery, all children showed growth.
